On 11th June 2024, NTPC Dadri conducted an interactive Gender Sensitization Workshop for its GEM participants. The session was conducted by Ms. Saloni Gaba, a PhD Scholar in Gender Studies. 

The session started with a discussion on identity and the difference between Gender and Sex. Further, the session equipped the participants with knowledge about the different kinds of gender present in the world and how it is important to promote the inclusivity and acceptance of all kinds of gender. 

Ms. Gaba also talked about breaking societal assumptions and stereotyped generalisations which are present in the society about a particular gender. She also placed emphasis on how opportunities should be seen through a lens of equality. At the end, she also informed the participants about the age of adolescence and how period awareness is important in the society.
